Substrate Preparation

• Apply on sanded old paint or prepared primer.
• Degrease with a suitable cleaner (e.g., Cromax 3911WB or 3919S).
• Recommended sanding: P500 by machine then finish with P800.
• Repair areas: P500-P600 (machine) or P800-P1000 (manual).
• Filter the paint with a 125 µ filter before application.

Application

• Spraygun: HVLP nozzle 1.3 – 1.4 mm.
• Pressure: 1.7 to 2 bar at the inlet / 0.7 bar at the nozzle.
• Application: 2 wet coats + 1 mist coat.
• Technique: the final mist coat allows particle orientation and color uniformity.
• Dry to a fully matte appearance before clear coating.

Usage Tips

• Respect the dilutions with binders 1640WB or 1650WB according to conditions.
• Possibility to add up to 10% WB400 thinner in hot conditions.
• Blending technique possible according to Axalta technical sheet.
• For fast clear type CC6750: add 2% AR7505W catalyst.

Safety

• Wear PPE: coverall, FFP3 mask, and nitrile gloves.
• Use in a ventilated booth.
