PM2P10 - RM Pioneer Series - 1K Plastic Primer spray eSense 400ml

PLASTIC Prim-R PM 2P10 is an adhesive primer for plastics in "Eco Efficient" spray form, ready to use, designed for quick and reliable bodywork repairs. It offers excellent adhesion on many polymers and integrates into the Pioneer Series process for effective wet-on-wet application. Ideal for preparation before sandable primer or wet-on-wet primer.

Preparation & Cleaning

  • Degreasing/scuffing: clean with PK 2P40 or PK 2P10 using a sanding pad, then re-clean with PK 2P10.
  • Agitation: shake vigorously for 2 minutes before each use; avoid shocks and friction (mixing balls released during agitation).
  • Spray: do not use deformed cans; avoid hitting objects during agitation.

Application & Drying

  • Apply 1 to 2 even coats to achieve 5–10 µm dry film.
  • Allow a flash-off of approximately 15 min at 20 °C (matte/evaporated surface).
  • If the interval exceeds 30 min at 20 °C, reapply PLASTIC Prim-R before the next step.
  • Then proceed wet-on-wet with the Pioneer Series primer (SANDING FILL-R, AIR Purpos-R, or UV FILL-R, indicated shades).

Application Parameters: film, flash-off, and wet-on-wet sequence from the TDS.

Safety, Compliance & Best Practices

  • VOC: category 2004/42/IIB(e) — limit 840 g/L; product at 688 g/L ready to use.
  • Usage: for professional use only; wear PPE (gloves, goggles, respiratory protection) and ensure proper ventilation.
  • Note: the product may contain particles < 0.1 µm.
  • OEM Procedures: follow manufacturers' repair instructions, especially regarding onboard sensors.
  • Documentation: refer to the latest version of the TDS from the distributor or the R-M website.
