Mixing ratio:

Respect a mixing ratio of 2:1: 0.1 by volume:

• Between 20-30°C: Durcisseur UHS D8254
• Over 30°C: Durcisseur UHS D8255

Spraying:

• spraygun with RP cap
• Nozzle 1.2mm – 1.3mm
• Pressure 2 – 2.2 Bar

Application method in 2 coats:

• Apply 2 normal coats to achieve a dry film thickness of 50-60µ
• Observe a flash-off time of 5 minutes between coats

Drying time:

• 60°C: 15 minutes
• 40°C: 40 minutes
• Air drying at 20°C: 8 hours
• Infrared drying: 8 minutes (depending on color)

Fast and efficient drying

The clears dries in 15 minutes at 60°C, which saves you considerable time. And if the painted part spends less time in the oven, you save energy. This UHS clears also offers great flexibility in its use as it is compatible with:

• With air drying systems (20°C) for a drying time of 8 hours or by infrared
• By infrared for a drying time of about 8 minutes depending on the color used

Ease of use

The clears UHS D8131 from PPG is designed to be combined with the waterborne Envirobase High Performance range, the global reference for finishing systems. Thanks to this combination, you benefit from easy application and an exceptional final appearance. It offers high gloss and exceptional flow, which enhance the color and depth of the paint. Finally, it is also easy to sand and polish, allowing you to achieve a perfect finish.

For an express application process in one visit:

• Apply 1 thin/light but closed coat + one normal coat to achieve a dry film thickness of 50-60µ.
• Apply the first coat on all parts to be painted before applying the second coat.
• For less than 3 elements, observe a flash-off time of 1 minute 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
• For 3 elements or more, flash-off is not necessary.
