WT188 - SPIES HI TEC Body Paint Super Deep Black 1L

The waterborne base WT188 Super Deep Black from the Permahyd® Hi-TEC 480 range is designed for demanding automotive repairs. It ensures exceptional color accuracy, high coverage power, and reliable blending for fast and reproducible cycles in the booth.

Mixing Preparation

• Additive WT 6050/6052: Opaque shades 100 + 10%, effect shades 100 + 20% (add up to +10% demineralized water 6000 if necessary).
• Usage: Apply immediately after adding the additive. Use within the working day.
• Filtration: Fast water-resistant filter 125–190 μm before application (cup systems).

Application & Settings

• Compliant spraygun: nozzle 1.2–1.3 mm; 1.8–2.0 bar inlet (manufacturer settings).
• HVLP: nozzle 1.2–1.3 mm; 0.7 bar atomization.
• Standard Method: 1 closed coat (70–80% wet coverage) followed by a ½ effect coat at increased distance; desolvation to mat between passes.
• Before clears: complete desolvation, then application of an HS Permasolid clear on the entire repair.

Substrates & Compatibility

• Old sanded/cleaned paints
• Primers/2K primers sanded or wet-on-wet process
• Repair areas: sanding P500–P600 (machine) or P800–P1000 (hand)

Good to Know

• The blending additive 1050/1051 is not recommended for dark colors.
• Adjust WT 6050 (standard) or WT 6052 (slower) according to humidity/temperature; follow the climate guide.
• Cleaning: suitable waterborne cleaner for spraygun.
• Storage: 5–35°C, protected from frost.
