Step 1: Surface preparation
- Cleaning : Carefully degrease the surface with a suitable product
- Sanding : Use a P320 abrasive to remove damaged paint
Step 2: Damage repair
- Puttying : Apply body putty if necessary, sand with P400 once dry
- Priming : Apply a primer (e.g., P565-5707), then sand with P600 after drying
Step 3: Application of the tint
- Mixing : Mix the tint with the thinner P980-5000 according to the technical sheet
- Equipment : HVLP spray gun with 1.3 mm nozzle, 2 bar (30 psi) pressure
- Application : Apply 2 to 3 thin coats, with 5–10 min drying between passes
- Control : Check the tint under varied lighting
Step 4: Finishing
- Clears : Apply a clear varnish (e.g., P190-6570) for protection and shine
- Polishing : Polish after complete drying for a smooth and shiny finish
