Palinal 863…1 – Hardener for Polyester Primer (e.g., 862.7777)

This hardener is (according to available information) intended to catalyze the polyester primers of the Palinal range, in order to achieve proper curing and a base ready for painting.

Intended Use

• Designed for use with Palinal polyester primers (e.g., 862.7777).
• Allows the primer layer to harden to ensure good substrate preparation before base coat/finishing.
• Professional use in body shops or paint workshops — not suitable for amateur use without technical specifications.

Application Recommendations (Generic)

1. Prepare the substrate: sanding, dust removal, degreasing — especially if you are working on metal, plastic, or an old system.
2. Mixing: thoroughly mix the polyester primer with the hardener 863…1 in the ratio indicated by the TDS. Mix carefully to homogenize.
3. Spray Application: apply according to the usual method for polyester primer — mist coat + full coats if necessary, with flash-off between coats.
4. Drying/Curing: adhere to the indicated drying and curing times — allow the film to fully cure before sanding or recoating.
5. Protection & Safety: wear protective equipment (gloves, mask, goggles), work in a well-ventilated area, read the SDS before use.
