Preparation and application

Recommended personal protective equipment : suit (e.g. 3M 50198L), FFP2 mask (3M 06942), nitrile gloves.

1. Paint substrate

• Original paint or Ixell 1K / 2K primer (Fortia C1/C3/C5 or Univia C1/C6).

2. Substrate preparation

• Degreasing with Ixell HS3 NF solvent cleaner using a suitable cloth.
• Final cleaning with Ixell H2O surface cleaner.

3. Tint preparation

• Formulation via Ixell software.
• Use a suitable hardener: HS2 FAST, HS2 STANDARD or HS2 SLOW depending on the size of the parts.

4. Application

• HVLP spraygun with 1.2 or 1.3 mm nozzle recommended (e.g. Devilbiss DVI or Satajet X5500).
• Apply 2 wet coats without flash-off time.
• Then proceed to oven for curing.
