Substrate preparation

• Compatible substrates: original old paints or Ixell 1K / 2K primers (Fortia C1/C3/C5 or Univia C1/C6)
• Recommended degreasing with Ixell HS3 NF + bodywork cloth
• Primer: Fortia or Levia
• Sanding: P600 to P800, finishing with Scotch-Brite sponge P1000
• Final cleaning: Ixell H2O surface cleaner

Application

• Tint preparation : Follow the formula via Ixell software, shake pots well to homogenize metallic and pearlescent pigments
• Recommended equipment : HVLP spraygun nozzle 1.2 or 1.3 mm – e.g. Devilbiss DVI or Satajet X5500
• Method : 2 wet coats + 1 placement mist
• Drying : In booth or with hot air before clearing

Safety instructions

• Wear a protective suit (e.g. 3M 50198L), an FFP2 mask (3M 06942) and nitrile gloves
• Work in a ventilated environment or booth
