Instructions for use

Surface preparation

• Old paint properly sanded and cleaned
• Degrease with a hydro degreaser (e.g. Cromax 3911WB)
• Sanding: P500 with 5 mm orbital, finish P800 with 2.5 mm orbital
• Final degreasing with Prepsol 3919S
• Filter the paint with a 125μ cone filter before application

Dilution and mixing

• Respect the proportions of binder 1640WB or 1650WB depending on humidity
• Up to 10% thinner WB400 in case of heat or large surface

Application

• Wear coverall, FFP3 mask, nitrile gloves required
• HVLP spraygun nozzle 1.3 to 1.4, inlet pressure 1.7–2 bar / nozzle 0.7 bar
• 2 wet coats + 1 placement mist for pearl effect
• Complete evaporation until a matte finish is obtained

Finishing

• Application of a clear after complete drying
• If using fast-drying clears (e.g. CC6750), add 2% catalyst AR7505W
• The Basecoat Blender is not suitable for dark shades
