Usage tips for bodywork professionals

  1. Surface preparation:

    – Thoroughly degrease with a suitable degreaser before and after sanding.
    – Remove all traces of dust, oil, silicone, or contamination.

    – Follow the mixing ratio and type of hardener/thinner indicated on the Palinal 100.0074 technical data sheet.
    – Thoroughly homogenize the product before and after adding the components.
  3. Spray application:
    – Use an HVLP or RP spray gun with a nozzle suitable for the type of product [e.g., 1.2–1.4 mm clears / 1.6–1.8 mm primers].
    – Apply the recommended number of coats (mist + full coats), respecting evaporation times between passes.
  4. Drying:
    – Allow to air dry or in a paint booth according to the TDS (times and temperatures to be respected).
    – Do not handle or cover the film until drying is complete.
  5. Sanding and recoating (if applicable):
    – Sand with abrasives suitable for the cycle (e.g., P400–P800 depending on the desired finish).
    – Dust off and degrease, then recoat with the recommended Palinal products (base colors, clears, etc.).
