Usage tips for bodywork professionals

Surface preparation:
– Sand and dull the surfaces according to the nature of the substrate (metal, composite, plastic, old system).
– Thoroughly degrease with a suitable degreaser before and after sanding.
– Remove all traces of dust, oil, silicone, or contamination. -
Mix preparation:
– Follow the mixing ratio and type of hardener/thinner indicated on the Palinal 100.0074 technical data sheet.
– Thoroughly homogenize the product before and after adding the components. -
Spray application:
– Use an HVLP or RP spray gun with a nozzle suitable for the type of product [e.g., 1.2–1.4 mm clears / 1.6–1.8 mm primers].
– Apply the recommended number of coats (mist + full coats), respecting evaporation times between passes. -
Drying:
– Allow to air dry or in a paint booth according to the TDS (times and temperatures to be respected).
– Do not handle or cover the film until drying is complete. -
Sanding and recoating (if applicable):
– Sand with abrasives suitable for the cycle (e.g., P400–P800 depending on the desired finish).
– Dust off and degrease, then recoat with the recommended Palinal products (base colors, clears, etc.).
