Mixing Preparation

• Opaques: P991 100 vol + P980-5000/5050 10 vol (balance opacity/application)
• In high temperatures (>30 °C): up to 30% of P980-5000/5050 to improve wetting and reduce overspray
• Filtration: nylon filter 125–190 µm (do not filter at spraygun)

Application & Settings

• Spraygun (gravity): nozzle 1.2–1.4 mm; pressure as per manufacturer's recommendations
• Opaque Method: single coats to opacity; allow to evaporate to matte between passes
• Booth: 23–25 °C; additional air circulation possible (Aquadry type)
• Before clears: ensure complete drying of the base and cooling of the panel; use only 2K clears recommended by Nexa

Substrates & Compatibility

• Primers: 2K sandable Nexa or wet-on-wet 2K (excluding non-compatible products)
• Metals: steels and alloys (aluminum, galvanized…) prepared according to Nexa process
• Plastics: use the prescribed Nexa plastics system
• Undercoat: select the appropriate Spectral Grey to optimize coverage of yellows

Good to Know

• The base must become visually matte between passes and before clear application
• Spraygun cleaning: water then rinse with a recommended additive; dry before storage
• Storage: protect from frost, >5 °C, closed packaging
