It offers maximum performance with low VOC emissions. It is suitable for localized touch-ups, part repairs, and full repaints. Surfaces must be properly prepared and cleaned before application. Use solvent-based degreasing cleaner 3919S to remove residues and dust. Pig tails in bodywork are sanding marks that form loops. These sanding marks are recognized when the machine used is not suitable for finishing work. Choose quality personal protection before starting to paint. An FFP3 mask like 3M 06942 as well as a 3M 50198 painting suit, nitrile gloves are essential. The recommended thinning is 3 parts Centari paint to 1 part Cromax hardener. Spray two coats of paint with a 5-minute flash-off between each coat. You will choose a hardener depending on the surface to be repainted and the ambient air temperature. Check the technical data sheet that Axalta provides. For drying your body parts, two options are available. Drying in a paint booth or with a short-wave infrared body dryer. Your Centari® 5035 2K Low Emission Lacquer can be recoated within 24 hours, with sanding! We wish you great results!

• A single machine to make colors provides all qualities of solvent-based paint – medium and high-solids, lacquers and matte bases.
• Surface preparation:
• Sand your Primer or Primer surfacer with P500 grit
• The areas to be repaired must be sanded with P500-P600 using a 5mm eccentric orbital sander then or with a 2.5mm orbit finishing sander starting from sanding grit P800-P1000 to avoid "pig tails"
• Painting process:
• Choose the appropriate gun, namely HVLP cap with 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 nozzle. Check what the paint manufacturer recommends.
• Your air flow must be set to 0.7 bar at the gun nozzle outlet and between 1.8 bar and 2.2 bar at the air pressure gauge at the gun inlet.
• The choice of hardener to mix with your paint is very important. You can choose between fast hardener XK203, medium harderner XK205 or slow hardener XK206.
