Tint presentation

The matte base T4006 is part of PPG's Envirobase High Performance system, offering an environmentally friendly waterborne formula compliant with European VOC reduction standards. It offers a wide range of opaque, metallic, pearlescent, and special effect shades, composed of modern and high-end pigments in line with automotive manufacturers' trends.

Usage tips

1. Sand your primer with a suitable grit: P800 for wet sanding or P500 for dry sanding.
2. Clean and degrease the surface with an appropriate product such as PPG's D837.
3. Prepare your tint mixture according to the manufacturer code, respecting the mixing ratios specified in the technical data sheet.
4. Filter the mixture using a 125µ cone to remove impurities and lumps.
5. Adjust your HVLP spraygun with a nozzle between 1.2 mm and 1.4 mm, at a pressure of 2 to 2.5 bars.
6. Apply the paint: for small surfaces, one normal coat followed by light coats; for large surfaces, two normal coats followed by one light coat.
