How to Apply Lechler Clearcoat

Specifically designed for professionals, Lechler clearcoats make final finishing straightforward. Key steps:

1. Clean and dry the surface thoroughly (use soapy water and degreaser).

2. Sand the surface to ensure proper adhesion.

3. Wipe away sanding residue with a clean cloth.

4. Check temperatures of the products, room, and surface before application.

5. Mix according to technical sheet specifications (clearcoat + hardener + optional thinner).

6. Apply two coats:

   • First: semi-wet

   • Second: full, according to the technical guidelines

7. Use a spray gun nozzle between 1.2 and 1.3 mm for even spraying.

8. Maintain a steady, consistent motion at the correct distance.

9. Let the clearcoat dry based on ambient temperature and the hardener type.

10. If compatible, up to 5% of the thinner can be replaced by an accelerator to reduce drying time.
