Surface preparation

Before application:

• Clean and degrease with water, then with a suitable solvent.

• Compatible substrates:

  • Old paints or original finishes well sanded

  • Sanded primers or unsanded wet-on-wet

• Sanding:

  • Machine: P500–P600

  • Manual: P800–P1000

Paint preparation

• Thoroughly mix the base with the hardener (5 to 10%)

• Add up to 10% demineralized water 8000 if necessary

• Apply within an hour of adding the viscosity adjuster

Recommended application

• Standoblue method:

  • 1 wet coat covering 70–80%

  • 1 placement coat to even out the effect

• Recommended spray guns:

  • Satajet X5500 HVLP nozzle 1.2 (ref. 166364)

  • Devilbiss DV1 nozzle 1.2 or 1.3

• Finish: Apply a Standox clear type Easy K9510 or XTRA Clear K9560 for optimal gloss and durability
