The waterborne paint Ixell Ixelltech TU910 is a matte pearl basecoat to be clear-coated, designed for automotive repairs or overall repair of vehicles. Thanks to its innovative formulation, it offers excellent coverage, good placement of metallic particles, and simplified application in two coats.

Substrate Preparation

1. Degrease with a solvent like Ixell HS3 NF.
2. Apply a suitable primer, sand with P600 to P800, finish with Scotch Brite P1000.
3. Dust off with Ixell H2O before painting.

Application

1. Shake the cans well before mixing to homogenize the pearlescent particles.
2. Prepare the color according to the Ixelltech formula (color software).
3. Use an HVLP spray gun with a 1.2–1.3 mm nozzle (e.g., DeVilbiss DV1, SATAjet X5500).
4. Apply 2 wet coats + 1 placement mist.
5. Bake according to Ixell recommendations.

Safety

• Wear PPE: coveralls, nitrile gloves, FFP2 mask (e.g., 3M 06942).
• Use reserved for professionals in a ventilated environment.
