Description

PPG Envirobase High Performance is a water-based solution that allows precise reproduction of original vehicle colors thanks to a wide palette of modern colors, including micas, opaques, metallics, and special effects. This system combines ease of application, high yield, and high-quality finish, while respecting environmental constraints related to the reduction of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Substrate preparation

• Careful washing and drying to remove all residues.
• Cleaning and degreasing with the low VOC PPG D8401 cleaner between each phase.
• Immediate wiping with a clean, dry cloth.

Color preparation

• Shake the bottles vigorously to homogenize the pigments.
• Follow the manufacturer's formula for color preparation.
• Filter the mixture through a 125 µm cone filter before application.
• Dilute with thinner T494 according to the technical data sheet.

Application method

• Use an HVLP spraygun equipped with a nozzle between 1.2 and 1.4 mm.
• Apply a first wet coat.
• After complete drying, apply a second coat.
• Apply a placement coat on a dry film, at a pressure between 1.2 and 1.5 bars (except for opaque colors).
• The placement coat can also be applied on a semi-dry film to optimize process time.

Finish

After complete drying of the base, apply a compatible clears to ensure the protection and final gloss of the paint.
