Instructions for use

  • Surface preparation :
    • Properly sand the old paint or original paint
    • Degrease with Standox Precleaner TB50
    • Sand the primer surfacer with P500 (machine) or P800 (manual)
    • Wet-on-wet option possible with unsanded primer
    • Finish with P800 using a 2.5 mm orbit pneumatic sander to avoid marks
    • Clean and degrease before application
  • Product preparation :
    • Filter the paint with a 125 µm cone
    • Respect dilution with 8000 water according to recommendations
  • Application :
    • Use an HVLP gun with 1.3 mm or 1.4 mm nozzle
    • Input pressure: 1.7 to 2 bars
    • Nozzle output pressure: 0.7 bar
    • Apply 2 wet coats then a placement mist to perfect the metallic effect
    • First coat uniform and closed
    • Step back for the second coat to position the effect and ensure proper tint orientation
    • Let dry until a matte finish is obtained
  • Finishing : Apply the appropriate Standox clear after complete drying
  • Personal protection : Wear coverall, FFP3 mask, nitrile gloves and appropriate equipment
