PS1081 - CROMAX Primer White Ultra Performance Energy 1L

The PS1081 is a new generation filling primer, drying very quickly in the air and sandable after ~20 minutes depending on climatic conditions. Its smooth surface offers excellent gloss hold-out after finishing, while ensuring stable and simple application.

Technical Characteristics

• Designation: Ultra Performance Energy Surfacer (fast filling primer)
• ValueShade: VS1 (white). Intermediate greyshades possible by mixing PS1081 (VS1) and PS1087 (VS7).
• Substrates: steel, galvanized steel, aluminum (with PS1800 Metal Pretreatment Wipes on bare metal), e-coat, old coatings, polyester (GRP/SMC). Exterior plastics after promoter 800R/800RA and flexibilization 805R/AZ9405.
• Mixing Ratio: PS1081 : AR7802 = 1:1 (option AR7801 LT/LH <15 °C / <30 % RH). Option: AZ9800 0.2 part for acceleration.
• Viscosity / Nozzles: Compliant/HVLP 1.4–1.6 mm; 1–1.5 bar (compliant) or 0.7 bar (HVLP at the cap).
• Number of Coats: 2–4 coats, no flash-off between passes after the first.
• Drying / Sanding: 20 °C: 20–60 min; 40–45 °C: 10–15 min; 60–65 °C: 5–10 min; Short-wave IR half power: 5–10 min. Sanding P500–P600.
• Recoatability: within 24 h with basecoat + clears (Cromax/Cromax Pro) or 2K Centari.
• VOC Ready to Use: ≤ 540 g/L (EU cat. IIB(c)).

Application Method

1. Substrate Preparation: sand and clean. On bare metal, use PS1800. On plastics, apply 800R/800RA then flexibilize (805R/AZ9405).
2. Mixing: PS1081 : AR7802 = 1:1. For cold/dry weather, switch to AR7801. Option: + AZ9800 (0.2 part).
3. Application: 2–4 coats until "flat" surface. No flash-off required after the first coat.
4. Drying & Sanding: let dry according to the table above, sand P500–P600, dust off before finishing.

Safety

• For professional use only; consult the SDS. Ventilation and PPE required.
• Do not use wash-primer under PS1081–1084–1087. Close containers and do not reincorporate ready-to-use mixtures.
