R-M P 2A26 CorrosionPROTECT is a anti-corrosion wash primer designed for direct application on bare metal. Thin, fast, and highly adhesive, it provides effective initial protection before applying the subsequent layers of the R-M Advance Series system.

Application Method

1. Preparation: sand and degrease the surface; clean with UndercoatPREP.
2. Mixing: P 2A26 : H 2A26 = 1:1, then add 30% of R 2A14 or R 2A24. Mix well.
3. Application: apply 1 to 2 thin coats (10–15 µm) with an HVLP or Compliant spray gun according to recommended settings.
4. Overcoating: after approx. 10 min at 20 °C, cover only with a compatible solvent-based product from the R-M system. Do not cover with polyester putty or waterborne base.

Safety

• Product reserved for professional use.
• Follow the instructions of the SDS and TDS before application.
• Wearing PPE is mandatory (gloves, goggles, respirator).
• Flammable product with high solvent content: booth ventilation is essential.
