Cromax VR1120 – ValueClear VOC + VR1131 (Standard)
The 2K clears VR1120 combined with the hardener VR1131 offers an excellent balance between application window, flow, and productivity. Versatile (touch-up, part, full), it delivers a glossy finish, easy to polish, with very good vertical hold.
- Standard version: comfortable working window for a uniform flow.
- Simple application in 0.5 + 1 coat, very short flash-off.
- Can be recoated by itself without sanding up to 24 h.
- Usable on Cromax Basecoat (hydro) and Centari activated.

- Clear designation: Cromax VR1120 ValueClear VOC (acrylic 2K).
- Hardener: VR1131 ValueActivator (standard).
- Mixing ratio (vol.): 2 : 1 (VR1120 : VR1131).
- Application process: 0.5 + 1 (1st thin/closed, 2nd full); inter-coat flash-off 0–2 min, final 5–10 min.
- Nozzles / pressures: Compliant 1.3–1.4 mm (1.8–2.2 bar); HVLP 1.3–1.4 mm (0.7 bar at the cap).
- Application viscosity (20 °C): DIN 4 18–21 s (ISO 4 45–57 s).
- Dry film thickness (DFT): 50–60 µm.
- Baking 60–65 °C: approx. 35 min with VR-1131.
- IR short waves: 5 min half power then 10–15 min full power (guide).
- VOC ready to use: cat. IIB(d) ≤ 420 g/L.
Application Method
- Preparation: Cromax waterborne base/activated Centari dry and flashed; old coatings sanded/degreased.
- Mixing: 2:1 (VR1120:VR1131). Do not reincorporate the activated mix into the original container.
- Application: 0.5 thin closed coat then 1 full coat; respect the flash-offs above.
- Drying: baking 60–65 °C ≈ 35 min (VR1131) or IR as per guide; allow to cool before handling/polishing.
Uses & Tips
Ideal for multiple panels and small to medium surfaces when a balance between speed and flow is sought.
Safety
- For professionals only. Immediately close the activator can (sensitivity to moisture).
- Ventilation/PPE required; clean the gun with suitable solvent after use.
